To the residents of the Town of Newport:

We will have a Special meeting on Thursday May 21, 2020 at 10:00 AM. The purpose of the meeting is to, by resolution, establish a Public Hearing date to review and potentially adopted Zoning Ordinance changes to the R2 district and changes to the Events language. The meeting will be physically closed to the Public because of Executive Order that we cannot have gatherings of more than 10 people and that they must be at least 6 feet apart. We have purchased equipment to allow the public to hear the meeting as we have installed conference speakers outside under the awning of the front door to the conference room and a conference microphone placed in the conference room that will allow you to hear the boards’ meeting. We would prefer that you pull up to the front of the building and remain in your car and listen. If you must leave your car, please stay 6 feet apart and wear a mask to help protect yourself and other people. If you have a topic that you would like the board to respond to, email [email protected] by 4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
