Boralex invites you to a virtual discussion about the Newport Solar Project regarding Emergency Services Response.

This event is provided in direct response to community interest to learn more about fire safety and other emergency services related to the proposed solar project. Attendees will hear directly from, and be able to ask questions to, a noted expert in fire safety to provide more information on the topic and answer questions.

Boralex takes health and safety very seriously. Solar energy is the safest form of electricity available today, but we need to ensure our projects are built and operated safely, and that the proper response plans are in place. The presentation will go over the limited risk of fire, the emergency response plan and an overview of the type of training that will be made available to local emergency response providers.

We encourage all interested parties to attend the online session live, but it will also be recorded and posted on the project webpage afterwards. Your questions can be submitted in advance via email or live during the event using the chat function.
