Position available effective January 1, 2023 for the Town of Newport Assessor.  It is an appointed 5 year position.  Assessors must obtain basic certification by New York State within three years of taking office.  This requires completion of orientation, three assessment administration course components, and five appraisal components.  Each year, appointed assessors must complete an average of 12 hours of continuing education.  For more information, please call Newport Town Clerk at 315-845-8340 or e-mail the town at [email protected]
