PLEASE TAKE NOTICE That the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Newport, NY will hold a public hearing at the Town Offices at 2788 Newport Road Newport, NY on the 22nd day of March 2021at 6:30 PM to hear the Appeals of: Steven E. Camp, Newport DG, LLC 361 Summit Blvd, Suite 110 Birmingham, AL 35243

These variances, if approved, are required to allow the Town of Newport Planning Board to review the overall project for acceptance or denial of a Special Use permit for a Retail Establishment at 8556 St Rt 28 Poland NY. 

CASE # 42A

Description of Appeal:  Area Variance to install 35 parking spaces instead of the required 44 in an R-2 Zone. This proposed construction does not meet requirement Article 8, Section 8.2, Schedule B-Off Street Parking, on page 44, Retail establishment, of the Town of Newport Zoning Ordinance Adopted January, 2017.

CASE # 43A

Description of Appeal:  Area Variance to construct Dollar General Signs, 1 is a Pylon Sign: 50.63 SF and 1 is a Building Sign 149.63 SF instead of 6 SF – 15 SF – 24 SF in an R-2 Zone.  This proposed construction does not meet requirement Article 7, Section 7.8 on pages 40 & 41, Signs, of the Town of Newport Zoning Ordinance Adopted January 2017.
