NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO TOWN LAW §265

AND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF NEWPORT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Monday, June 15,

2020 at 7:00 p.m. at the Newport Town Hall, located at 2788 Newport Road in the Town of

Newport, New York, to consider textual changes to the Town Zoning Ordinance and to consider

adoption of local law setting forth procedures for Freedom of Information Law [“FOIL”]

requests.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Proposed Local Law #1 of 2020, enacting FOIL

request procedures, is available for public inspection; Proposed Local Law #2 of 2020, which

updates the existing Article 6 of the Zoning Ordinance regarding “Events” by increasing permit

fees, penalties for violations, applicable security deposits, insurance and adding application

requirements such as traffic plans, Emergency Medical Services Plans and Security Plans, is

available for public inspection; and Proposed Local Law #3 of 2020, adding to the available

special use permit uses in R-2 and R-M and the zoning definitions, is available for Public

Inspection. Copies of all proposed local laws are available for inspection with the Town Clark at

the Newport Town Hall located at 2788 Newport Road in the Town of Newport, New York.
