Please take notice that the Planning Board of the Town of Newport will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 7pm at the Newport Town Hall at 2788 Newport Road, Newport, NY 13416 to consider the following applications.

1). Application for a Special Use Permit by Ananias Hershberger at his proposed building site on 466 N. Gage Road, Poland, NY 13431 in the Town of Newport. His proposal will discuss the issuance of a building for a Saw Mill in an Agricultural District. Adjacent landowners will be notified by mail of this meeting.

2). Application for a Special Use Permit by Daniel Yoder at his proposed building site on 339 Butler Road, Poland, NY 13431 in the Town of Newport. His proposal will discuss the issuance of a building for a Saw Mill in an Agricultural District. Regulations for a property that has more than twelve (12) adjacent landowners states that letters do not have to be issued to each individual landowner.    

At the aforesaid Public Hearing, the Newport Planning Board, as lead agency, will consider public response and the impact the project will have on the community. The plot plans and tax maps for both properties will be on the Town of Newport website and on display at the Newport Town Office for any resident wanting to review them.
