NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE
ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE YEAR 2020
(Pursuant to Section 506 & 526(1) – Real Property Tax Law)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assessor for the TOWN OF Newport____________,
County of Herkimer, State of New York has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the
current year. The Tentative Assessment Roll is available for inspection until _MAY 26, 2020.
The Assessor, or someone designated by the Assessor, will be in attendance at 237 Old State Rd.
Poland, NY with the Tentative Assessment roll on the following dates and times: PLEASE NOTE
THE ASSESSOR CAN BE CONTACTED AT 315-527-1708 TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.
THERE WILL BE NO WALK-IN MEETINGS.

__MAY 11 , 2020 Between the hours of ________6 PM and 10 PM ____________, also on
__MAY 9 , 2020 Between the hours of _________10AM and 2PM _________, also on
SATURDAY,_MAY_16,_2020 Between the hours of _______10AM and 2PM____________.
NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that the Board of Assessment Review will meet on MAY 26, 2020 at the
NEWPORT TOWN OFFICE, 2788 Newport Rd. , Between the Hours of 6 PM and 10 PM for the
purpose of hearing and examining all complaints in relation to assessments. Only mail in or digital
submissions will be accepted by BAR. All complaints must be received prior to May 26th 2020.
