Legal Notice 2024 Preliminary Town Budget
Notice is hereby given that the preliminary Budget for the Town of Newport for the Fiscal Year beginning January 1, 2024 has been completed and is on file in the Office of the Town Clerk where it is available for inspection by any interested person during regular business hours. Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board will meet at the Town Offices, 2788 West St., Newport, NY 13416 @ 7:30 pm on November 13, 2023 to hold a PUBLIC HEARING on the Preliminary Budget, and that at such hearing, any persons may be heard in favor of, or against, any items therein.
The proposed salaries of the Elected Town Officials are hereby specified:
- Supervisor $7700
- Councilmen (4) $9700 @ $2425 each
- Town Justice $9270
- Town Clerk $17300
- Superintendent of Highways $48000
Notice of Fire Protection Contract Hearing
There will be a Public Hearing on the fire protection contract for the Town of Newport with the Village of Middleville at the Newport Town Offices @ 7:15 pm on November 13, 2023.
