Codes and Zoning Officer

The Town of Newport is now accepting applications for the combined positions of Codes and Zoning Officer.  Qualified applicants must show current Certificates of training as both a Building Safety Inspector and Code Enforcement Official.

The salary for these 2 positions is $8,300.00 per year.  All qualified candidates must submit their resume to the Newport Town Clerk, by mail at:  PO Box 519, Newport, NY 13416 or in person at the Newport Town Offices, 2788 Newport Rd., Newport, NY 13416 by 4:00 PM Friday, December 21, 2018.  The Town Board will interview the applicants to select the person for this position.

The successful candidate must be prepared to hold office hours at the discretion of the Town Board.
