ANNUAL ELECTION OF THE NEWPORT JOINT FIRE DISTRICT

On December 13, 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual Election of the Newport Joint Fire District will take place on December 13, 2022 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the Newport Fire Station, 7370 State Route 28, Newport, New York for the purpose of: electing one Commissioner for a five (5) year term, commencing January 1, 2023 and ending December 31, 2027. In order for their name to appear on the ballot, a candidate for the office of Fire District Commissioner must file his or her name with the Secretary of the Newport Joint Fire District by mailing the same to Joseph De Francisco, C/O Newport Joint Fire District , PO Box 321,Newport, New York 13416.  Such filings must be postmarked or delivered no later than November 23, 2022.

Only those persons who are residents of the Newport Joint Fire District on or before November 14, 2022 and who are also registered to vote with the Herkimer County Board of Elections on or before November 21, 2022 shall be eligible to vote in this election.
