As you may know, Dave McKerrow, retired from being the Town of Newport Assessor.  As a Newport native, some of you may know me, Daniel Maxwell, as the newly appointed Town of Newport Assessor as of 1/1/23.  Because I assess 7 municipalities, we had to move Grievance Day to Wednesday, May 31^st this year from 4-8 at the Town Barn.  Grievance Day going forward, as long as I’m the Assessor, will be the 2^nd Wednesday after the 4^th Tuesday in May.  Everything is always in reference to the 4^th Tuesday in May for Grievance Day.
